Who we are

The Frank Litchfield General Charitable Trust was founded in 1994 with the mission to make a meaningful impact on individuals and organisations throughout Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, and Essex. The Trustees take great pride in having distributed over £4.5 million in support of various initiatives, ranging from community projects and small charitable groups to hospices, regional medical facilities, and medical research endeavours.

We collect or use the following personal information when contacting you to provide funding on behalf of the charity you are working for:

Our lawful basis for collecting or using personal information is to enable us to fulfil our grant giving purposes by providing funding to charities and organisations.

  • Consent – we have permission from you after we gave you all the relevant information. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

  • Directly from you via our online application form or via a postal application

How long we keep information

For all applicants, we will retain your information for a period of six years. This allows us to keep a record of your application and to identify you as the main contact for the charity that applied to the Frank Litchfield General Charitable Trust.

If your application is successful, this will enable us to follow up and request reports on how the awarded funds were used, ensuring compliance with our funding requirements.

Who we share information with

The personal information we collect about you will ONLY be used by the Trustees and staff so that they can support you.

We will never sell or share your personal information with organisations so that they can contact you for any marketing activities.
